Across Myanmar, thousands of civilians have been killed in violence that has taken many. In villages and towns, this violence has reached homes, markets, schools, hospitals, churches, and monasteries, turning places of everyday life into scenes of mass death.

This project documents massacres against civilians attributed to the Myanmar military and affiliated forces. Here, a massacre means one incident in which at least five civilians were killed.(1)
